The Awen Symbol

Kailey Reid GD Logo White.png

In the Celtic language, "Awen" means inspiration or essence. Overall, it may be interpreted as a symbol for creativity, but the three "rays of light" depicted in the symbol carry a myriad of meanings:

  • Land, sea, sky

  • Nature, knowledge, truth

  • Mind, body, spirit

This is just a sampling of the many interpretations of Awen.

Kailey Reid Design's logo is inspired by this neo-Druid symbol, which was created in the 18th century by Welsh poet, Edward Williams, who was more commonly known by his bardic name, Iolo Morganwg.
